Brian Grant is principal architect at Grant Group Architecture in Durham, North Carolina. Brian received his master’s degree from North Carolina State University’s College of Design. Brian enjoys working in various media. The following images are a sampling of Brian’s acrylic work.
“I came to architecture with a degree in psychology and a deep-rooted love of art. I draw from my skills and insights in all three disciplines.”
“I enjoy experimenting with the tension between complexity of color and simplicity of form. I am intrigued by the multitude of colors contained within a single surface. A sky is not just blue; a meadow is not just green. I thrill to parse and depict the innumerable values and hues within. At the same time, I seek to strip down the image to the barest essentials which convey its meaning and achieve emotional resonance. “
